The function of Professional Standards is to ensure that the integrity of the Kettering Police Department is maintained through an internal system where objectivity, fairness, and justice are assured by intensive and impartial investigation and review. These investigations are the clear the innocent, establish guilt of wrongdoers, and facilitate fair, suitable, and consistent disciplinary action. This position is key to maintaining the rights of employees as well as the public.
Citizen Complaints and Compliments
Complaints, compliments, or concerns about police activity should be directed to the Internal Affairs Sergeant. There are several ways to make a report:

In Person
3600 Shroyer Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. Please ask for the Internal Affairs Sergeant to report a concern or compliment. If the Sergeant is unavailable and you need immediate assistance, please ask to see a supervisor regarding a complaint against an officer or other employee.
