Homebuyer Assistance
Homebuyer Assistance is available to buyers who meet the program eligibility requirements. Applicants for the Kettering Homebuyer Assistance Program must have a certificate of completion of an 8-hour HUD approved Home Buyer Course and housing counseling. 2017 Homebuyer Inspection Guidelines
Applicants must have eligible incomes below 80% of the Area Median Income and be willing to live in the home as their primary residence for 5 years. The forgiveable loan will be forgiven in entirety at the end of 5 years. The purchase price limit for existing homes is currently $119,000. The property must also pass a health and safety inspection. This does not replace a typical homebuyer inspection, which are encouraged.
