Program Incentives

In addition to the many personal health and lifestyle benefits found in the Employee Wellness Program, there are many financial benefits as well!

Financial Incentive

All full-time employees have the opportunity to participate in various wellness activities to earn an incentive.  Your new program requirements are as follows:

Step 1:  Earn 100 Non-Activity points by December 15, 2024.

Step 2:  Log a minimum of 1,500,000 steps between January 1, 2024 and December 15, 2024 OR  Log a minimum of 5000 activity minutes between January 1, 2024 and December 15, 2024.

Note: Incentive amount and method will be based on employee status and medical enrollment/waiver at time of deposit (February).

 

MEDICAL ENROLLMENT COVERAGE PLAN INCENTIVE

Platinum Medical Plan – Single $350.00 deposit into HSA or HRA
Platinum Medical Plan – Family $700.00 deposit into HSA or HRA

Silver or Bronze Plan – Single $350.00 taxable cash deposit
Silver or Bronze Plan – Family $700.00 taxable cash deposit

City’s Medical Waived – Single $250.00 taxable cash deposit

Please note, that new employees hired after May 1 must obtain a pro-rated amount of  750,000 steps OR 2500 minutes of activity and 50 Non-Activity Points to qualify for a pro-rated incentive for the current year of participation. The pro-rated incentive will be equal to $175 for Single Coverage or $350 for Family Coverage; or $125 for Waivers. These pro-rated amounts will be paid as indicated previously.

Wellness Employee of the Month

The Wellness Committee receives nominations as well as nominates employees for Wellness Employee of the Month who:

  • Demonstrate active participation and leadership/encouragement in the program.
  • Experience significant personal success (examples include achieving weight loss goals, quitting smoking or improved physical condition).

As a token of recognition, winners will be given a cash award of $50.

Wellness Challenges

DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED
Participate in any (or all) of the four challenges offered throughout the year to have fun and work toward your wellness goals! Challenge topics include mental, physical, financial, and nutritional wellbeing. More details including how to sign up for each challenge will be announced throughout the wellness year.
