What is the Wellness Committee?

The Wellness Committee is a group of employees that will represent individual department interests in the program, represent the work force, help to steer the program and award the Employee-of-the-Month.  All departments are represented.  If you are interested in serving on the committee, email employee.wellness@ketteringoh.org.

Is my personal health information, as obtained from screenings, kept confidential?

Yes.  Due to the “Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act” (HIPAA), Kettering Health Network (who we use for screenings) is legally bound to confidentiality with any personal information obtained from any screening.  Additionally, the City is not seeking information regarding individual health levels but rather aggregate information representing the overall workforce.

How do I keep track of Activity Minutes and Non-Activity Points?

Participants will use Wellvibe to track and submit Activity Minutes and Non-Activity Points. Employees should follow the Wellvibe Instruction Sheet to create an account. Wellvibe is fully accessible from a computer, tablet, and/or mobile device. To access from a computer, go to www.wellvibelogin.com. To access from a tablet or mobile device, download the “Wellvibe” app!

How do I earn the incentive?

Participants must earn 5,000 Activity Minutes and 80 Non-Activity Points during the course of the Wellness Year (November 1 – October 31). Gather more information on the Program Incentive here.

How do I receive a Free Fitness Pass?

At the beginning of each Wellness Year (November), employees may participate in a free Health Screening (Finger Stick Lipid Panel Test, Blood Pressure and Body Mass Index Screenings) and an online Health Risk Assessment. How do I register for this program?

You don’t need to register to participate in the Wellness Program! You do need to register to set-up an account with Wellvibe, where you will track and submit Activity Minutes and Non-Activity Points. Employees should follow the Wellvibe Instruction Sheet to create an account

Can spouses participate? What is the cost?

Spouses are not eligible for the incentive program. Spouses may participate in screenings, but are responsible for the full cost of the screening. Spouses may purchase a Fitness Pass for 20% off resident prices per the Employee Wellness Program Guidelines. However, the employee must have an active pass membership for the spouse to qualify.
