How long does it take to receive a permit?

Our goal is to have all reviews complete within two weeks. Simple permits that do not require drawings review are usually issued within a few days.  If changes or additional information is required the process may take longer.

Is recycling included with my trash pick-up?

Yes, recycling is included with trash service.  For more information regarding trash removal or recycling services, please contact Rumpke Waste & Recycling at 1-800-828-8171.  You may also visit our Residential Trash & Recycling page regarding trash services within the City of Kettering.

How do I obtain a recycling cart?

Rumpke Waste & Recycling handles trash collection and recycling within the City of Kettering. Your recycling container will be delivered once you establish service. Please contact Rumpke directly at Rumpke’s website or call 1-800-828-8171 to establish your trash service.

Where are residents expected to keep their trash & recycling carts?

Not necessarily. Many factors affect how soon a particular residential street receives service; including proximity to collector streets, topography, school locations and traffic volume.
