Weekly Police Blotter
The purpose of sharing our blotter is to show citizens where and when crime is occurring in the city. Therefore, this only contains calls for service that were of high significance, criminal in nature, and/or resulted in an arrest. KPD responds to a multitude of calls for service every day, and this is just a fraction of them. Some information may be removed from the call summaries to protect victims who have formally requested to keep their information confidential.
January 5, 2026
0115 hours — Officers were in the area of 4738 Gateway Cir (Gateway Climate Storage) when he observed two vehicles enter the parking lot. Through investigation, he discovered an entered warrant for one of the subjects through Beavercreek PD. Contact was made and confirmation of the warrant was received. Robert M Dudley (W/M/55) was arrested and turned over to BPD. 26-000526
1416 hours — Officers responded to 2325 Wilmington Pk, Kettering Municipal Court, and took custody of Danny F. Mack Jr. (B/M/45) who had turned himself in on a KMC warrant for FTA-Probation Violation. 26-000638
1526 hours — Officers initiated a traffic stop near W. Schantz/S. Dixie. During the stop, a suspected meth pipe was recovered from the driver. Shawn P. Cobble Jr. (W/M/31) was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 26-000648
2005 hours — Officers conducted a traffic stop at Marshall Rd and Lincoln Park Blvd for an equipment violation. After a positive K-9 hit, Matthew E Crabtree (W/M/45) was issued summons for Drug Paraphernalia and Drug Abuse Instruments. 26-000672
January 6, 2026
0019 hours — Crews responded to 104 Carrlands Dr regarding a subject residing at the house with a felony warrant through Fairborn Police Department/Greene County Common Pleas Court. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence and conducted by Detectives. At the conclusion of the investigation, Keith J Childers (W/M/37) was arrested on the warrants and charged with two counts of Endangering Children and Possession of Drugs. Jessie E Frazier (W/F 35) was also charged with two counts of Endangering Children and Possession of Drugs. Along with paraphernalia and other drugs, 87.81g Methamphetamine was recovered during the execution of the search warrant. 26-000696
1317 hours — Officers responded to 2360 S. Smithville, Family Dollar, on a theft that just occurred. The suspect, Karl L. Profitt (W/M/51) was located a short distance away and was charged with Theft. 26-000787
1736 hours — Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 2700 block of S. Dixie. The driver, Bryan L. Westbrook (B/M/60) was arrested on a KMC warrant for FTA-OVI. Westbrook was also charged with Possession of Drugs (F) as well as multiple felony gun offenses. 26-000828
2005 hours — Officers responded to a residence on Mossoak on a Neighbor Problem. After investigation, Tanya S. Screetch (B/F/58) was arrested for Felonious Assault after she attempted to run her neighbor over with her vehicle. 25-000839
2142 hours — Crews were dispatched to 1633 E Dorothy Ln reference an assist fire call. Upon arrival, Crews learned a subject had attempted to set the 2nd floor hallway on fire. The fire was extinguished by a tenant with a fire extinguisher. The subject responsible was identified and located. Deandre A Meriwether (B/M/30) was arrested and transported to the Kettering Jail for five counts of Aggravated Arson. 26-000845
0046 hours — Crews were dispatched to a residence on Ghent Ave reference a 911 call. Upon arrival, crews spoke with the parties involved and discovered a domestic had occurred. Kaden H Schriml (W/M/19) was arrested for Domestic Violence and felony Strangulation. Schriml was transported to the Kettering Jail without incident. 26-000853

0155 hours — Officers conducted a traffic stop at E Stroop Rd and Shroyer Rd. The passenger, Hunter N Fields (W/M/30) had an active warrant through Greene County. Fields was subsequently arrested for the warrant. Greene was also issued a summons for Drug Paraphernalia and turned over to GCSO. 26-000860
0221 hours — Crews were dispatched to a residence on S Smithville Rd reference a family problem. After investigation, Nathan R Parker (W/M/23) was arrested for Domestic Violence. Parker was transported to the Kettering Jail. 26-000861
2001 hours — Officers responded to a residence on Wiles on a Family Problem. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Antwan King (B/M/20) for Domestic Violence and Miri Martinez (H/F/18) for Domestic Violence- Threats. 26-000997

1234 hours — Officers made contact with a male on foot near 1215 East Stroop Road. Thomas W. Cost (W/M/50) was arrested for an active warrant through Greene County S.O. for a probation violation on an original charge of violating a TPO. 26-001109
1307 hours — Officers initiated a traffic stop for violations near Woodman/Bingham. An occupant, Harley M. Smith (W/F/33) was arrested on an MCSO warrant on a Probation Violation (F). 26-001125
1405 hours — Officers responded to the Butler County Jail and took custody of Ashley N. Leavell (W/F/42) on an KMC warrant for FTA-Drug Paraphernalia. 26-001142
1918 hours — Officers made contact with a wanted subject at Speedway, 1224 E. Stroop Rd. Curtis Nagy (W/M/61) had an active Dayton Warrant for FTA on a Zoning Violation. The warrant was confirmed and Nagy was arrested. 26-001197
January 9, 2026
0147 hours — Officers were dispatched to a residence on Talisman Dr on a Family Problem. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Christian McKinnie (W/M/26) and Laura Rotterman (W/F/48) for Domestic Violence. 26-001228
0349 hours — Crews responded to a residence in the 3300 block of Wilmington Pike on a family problem. B/F/15 was arrested for Domestic Violence and Domestic Violence- Threats. 26-01236.
1242 hours — Officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Burger King at 4085 Wilmington Pk, but the vehicle fled and was last seen traveling northbound on Woodman towards Dayton after it fled a second attempted stop. Officers responded to the registered owner’s address,1664 Russet Ave. in Dayton, where the suspect vehicle was located unoccupied. During the course of the investigation, Shaun L. Cable (W/F/53) was arrested on a confirmed felony warrant through MCSO (Probation Violation-Dangerous Drugs). The investigation is ongoing. 25-001298
2226 hours — Officers were dispatched to 1912 E. Whipp Road on a Protection Order Violation. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Hamid Yazdani (W/M/59) for Violation of a Protection Order. 26-001364
2320 hours — Officers were dispatched to 5575 Bigger Rd., to the gas pumps of Speedway, regarding a driver who was reportedly unconscious inside a stationary vehicle that was revving at a high rate. Officers made contact with the driver and were able to wake her. Officers observed indicators of impairment and administered SFSTs. Based on the results, the driver, Sarah Johnson (B/F/27), was placed under arrest for OVI. Johnson later submitted to a breath test at the Kettering Jail, which resulted in a 0.154 BAC. 26-001369

1442 hours — Officers conducted a traffic stop at S. Dixie/Mayo. The driver, Johnna T. Wood (B/F/41), was found to have two entered warrants through Dayton PD (FTA-Control of Dogs) and was arrested after confirmation. 26-001424
1844 hours — Officers conducted a traffic stop at S. Patterson/Carillon. The passenger was found to have an active protection order with the protected person being the driver. After confirmation, Morris Scott Jr. (B/M/59) was arrested for violating the order. 26-001451
2138 hours — Officers responded to a residence on Russell on a menacing complaint. Investigation resulted in the arrest of James Boyer (W/M/44) for Aggravated Menacing. 26-001466

0040 hours — Officers were dispatched to 3509 Annabelle Dr. on a Family Problem. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Kevin Kennison (W/M/51) for Disorderly Conduct- Public Intoxication. 26-001480
0337 hours — Ptl. Browne stopped a vehicle for violations at Stroop and Kenmar. The driver showed signs of impairment and SFST’s were administered. Upon completion Kevin Poston (W/M/37) was arrested for OVI. Poston refused a Breath Test at the Kettering Jail. 26-001488
1252 hours — Officers responded to 101 Alexandersville Bellbrook Rd. for a field transfer. Upon arrival Ricky McCloud (W/M/45) was taken into custody for a Kettering Court Warrant FTA DUS. McCloud also has a confirmed Beavercreek Warrant for FTA Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 26-001518
1416 hours — Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of E. Dorothy Ln. and Wilmington Pike. The driver, Nicholas F. Flowers (W/M/36) was arrested on a warrant out of Riverside P.D. for Criminal Damaging after confirmation. 26-001525
1447 hours — Officers responded to a residence on Lisbon St. on a Family Problem. After investigation, Hans R. Gottschalk (W/M/54) was placed under arrest for Domestic Violence. 26-001529
2021 hours — Officers stopped a vehicle for violations at 1701 W. Dorothy Lane. A consent search of the vehicle found Felony Drugs. Subsequently the passenger Amber Johnson (W/F/43) was arrested for F5 Possession of Drugs. 26.001562
2240 hours — Officers stopped a vehicle for violations at W. Dorothy and Encrete. A passenger in the vehicle was found to have an active warrant through Trotwood FTA-DUS. The warrant was confirmed and Kyle Larick (W/M/23) was arrested. 26-001572
