Montgomery County Environmental Services – Water Main Replacements

Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) will be working in the City of Kettering replacing old water mains throughout Kettering.   If you have any questions or concerns, please call David Swanson at Montgomery County at 781-2695 or the Kettering Engineering Department at 296-2436.
Bromfield North and South, Main Replacement:
MCES plans to  install an 8” water main on North and South Bromfield.  The water line work is expected to be completed in October 2017.  Curb, sidewalk, and drive approach replacement will follow in 2018.  Paving will occur at a later date after the concrete work has been completed.

Rockhill, Lewiston, Cushing, Shroyer Water Main Replacement Project:
MCES plans to  install an 8” water main on Roclhill, Lewiston, Cushing and Shroyer.  The water line work is expected to be completed in June 1, 2017.  Curb, sidewalk, and drive approach replacement will follow in 2018.  Paving will occur at a later date after the concrete work has been completed

Status Update:

July 28, 2017:  Montgomery County Environmental Services has completed the work on Shroyer Road. They anticipate completing the water work on Storms Road before school starts.

July 14, 2017:  Montgomery County Environmental Services has completed 95% of the work on Shroyer Road.  They anticipate starting the water work on Storms Road next and having this work complete before school starts.  Barrett Paving is planning to pave Shroyer Road the week of July 24 from Stroop to Dorothy Lane.

July 5, 2017:  Montgomery County Environmental Services is working in the south bound curb lane between the intersections of Lincoln Park and Storms Road today to complete the restoration of the road for the waterline work.  They have completed the water main taps along Shroyer Road onto the new water line.  After today the water line work will be complete on Shroyer Road.

Barrett Paving is still planning to pave Shroyer Road towards the end of July.

June 2, 2017:   Montgomery County is continuing waterline work on Shroyer Road.  Next week they plan to connect water services to the homes on Shroyer where the new water main was installed (between N Bromfield and Storms).  The south bound curb lane will be closed while they are completing this work.  Work is expected to be completed by June 15th.

April 25, 2017:  Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) will be installing a new 12” water main on Shroyer Road from Storms Road to North Bromfield.  This work will require a single lane closure in the southbound curb lane from Lincoln Park to Storms Road.  Work is expected to start on May 1 and be complete on Shroyer Road June 1.  After work is complete on Shroyer Road, they will install an 8” water main on Storms Road.  They will finish the project by installing an 8” water main on North and South Bromfield.  The water line work is expected to be completed in October.
