Governor’s Place Blvd Revitalization
Project Description
The project involves asphalt pavement repair and resurfacing of Governor’s Place Blvd. Additionally the work will include the construction of brick paver crosswalks, curb ramps, concrete sidewalks repairs, drive approach repairs and curb repairs. Also the medians will include landscaping and reconstruction of the existing brick patio.
Project Update
Construction is moving along well, and traffic patterns will change throughout the week to accommodate ongoing roadway work. Weather permitting, milling of the old asphalt will begin August 8, 2025, portions of the roadway will be closed for milling, with closures continuing into August 9, 2025 to complete the final paving.
Traffic Impacts:
- Friday, August 8, 2025 (Daytime): Governor’s Place Boulevard will be limited to one-way northbound traffic from Dorothy Lane to Dixie Drive.
- Friday, August 8, 2025 (Daytime): Northbound traffic on Dixie Drive will not be able to turn right onto Governor’s Place Boulevard.
- Detours: A clearly marked detour will be posted along Dixie Drive.
- Friday, August 8, 2025 into Saturday, August 9, 2025: Governor’s Place Boulevard will be fully closed to traffic.
Construction is expected to continue through fall of 2025.
