East David Road Improvements

Project Description

This project includes the asphalt resurfacing of E. David Road. Additional the project also includes the construction of a portion of sidewalk, the reconstruction of the traffic signal at Ackerman Blvd, Drive Approach replacement as needed, curb ramps and roadway improvements along the north side of David Rd. starting east of Sunray for approximately 575 feet.

Project Update

Crews are working hard on David Road with the goal of getting the roadway opened up before school starts. Our next big push on the project will be milling and paving the roadway, which is expected to take about 5-8 working days to compete. They are tentatively scheduled to start milling the roadway surface on July 22. During the milling and paving process, travelers should expect more delays and should choose an alternate route if possible.

This project will require closure of the westbound lane. The eastbound lane will remain open to traffic from Ackerman to Sunray from June 3 to August 1. Detour signs will be posted, and all through and local traffic will be required to access from the eastbound lane.
