CALLING ALL KETTERING AREA STUDENTS!

You are invited to compete in the 2024 Hispanic Heritage Art Contest

Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 through October 15.
Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month through the arts! Cash prizes will be awarded through the City of Kettering Board of Community Relations (BCR), and submissions will be exhibited at Rosewood Arts Center in October 2024.

Hispanic Heritage Month became officially recognized in 1988 in the United States. BCR is excited to provide an opportunity for Kettering area students to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about and honoring Hispanic and Latinx Artists.

Students in grades 6 – 12 are eligible! Prizes will be awarded in the following groups:
Grades 6, 7 and 8
Grades 9 and 10
Grades 11 and 12

The first place winner will receive $75, second place will receive $50 and third place will receive $25.

Artwork will be exhibited at Rosewood Arts Center October 21 – 26. An award ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, October 26, at 2 p.m.

The Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest is open to all students in grades 6 through 12 who live or attend school in Kettering. All submissions must be received by Friday, October 11, 2024. Artwork must be labeled and delivered to Rosewood Arts Center, 2655 Olson Drive, or the information desk of the City of Kettering Government Center, 3600 Shroyer Road.
