Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest 6th-12th Grade
General Rules
- Select an artist from the list provided.
- Choose one of their famous works and reimagine it with a visual art form of your own interpretive style. It may be a painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, or photography
- Provide an artist statement that includes the following:
- A short bio of the original artist;
- An explanation of why you chose them;
- A statement explaining your process for re-imagining the artwork
Make sure to include your contact information in the submission including: teacher, school, your name, your guardian’s name and contact information
Contest Rules
- One $50 prize per grade.
- Entries will be judged by the BCR Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest Committee. Both the parent/guardian and the school will be notified in addition to the winner.

Submissions that do not meet the criteria, are not complete or that plagiarized others’ work will not be considered. By your submission, BCR is granted permission to use your likeness and video for purposes of the HHM Art Contest.
