The City honors the many volunteers who have contributed their time and skill with two events each year.

Every spring, the Mayor's Volunteer Celebration Concert is held. At this event, volunteers meet other volunteers and enjoy entertainment and refreshments.

In the fall, a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon is held for volunteers and their staff supervisors. At the luncheon, the Mayor presents volunteers with the following awards based on cumulative hours contributed:
