Free blood pressure screenings are held several times each month.

Blood Sugar
Free blood sugar screenings are offered the first Wednesday of each month.

Cholesterol and Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
These tests are offered twice each year through Wellness Connection of the Miami Valley. Dates and times vary.

Hearing
Avada Audiology and Hearing Care offer free hearing tests the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Stroke Screening
Screenings are performed bi-annually at our center. Doppler ultrasound equipment is used to test the rate of blood flow through arteries. Appointment and fee required.

Lungs
Pulmonary function tests are held periodically each year.

Osteoporosis
This low-cost screening is held one to two times per year. The purpose of the test is to screen for bone density. An appointment is required.

Posture
Free posture screenings are held throughout the year.

Prostate
Prostate screenings are held each year. The Combined Health District offers free testing one time per year. Appointments are limited. Prostate screenings are also held two times per year through the Wellness Connection of the Miami Valley.

Skin Cancer
Free skin cancer screenings are held twice per year. July testing is performed by the Montgomery County Medical Alliance and is done on a drop-in, first-come first-served basis. August testing is performed by Kettering Medical Center Years Ahead program. An appointment is required for the August test.

Lunch & Learn
This monthly program is held during the fall, winter and spring. Bring your own lunch or enjoy ours while listening to local medical professionals talk about current and hot wellness topics.

Flu Shots
Low-cost flu shots are offered twice each fall through the Montgomery County Combined Health District and Kettering Medical Center. An appointment is required.

Pneumonia Shots

Macular Degeneration & Low Vision Support Group
This support group meets at the Lathrem Senior Center the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm. Speakers and topics are published in the Lathrem Letter (PDF File).

Osteoporosis Support Group
This support group meets at the Lathrem Senior Center the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 2:30 pm. Speakers and topics are published in the Lathrem Letter (PDF File).

Parkinson Support Group
This support group meets at Kettering Medical Center in Dining Room No. 1 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The group format includes both speakers and networking opportunities.

Chair Massage
Relax your mind and body with a back and neck or hand and foot massage. Several experienced therapists offer their services at CIL for $12 for each 10-minute session.

Reflexology
The entire body is reflected on the foot through a system of reflexes. Reflexology can promote balance, reduce tension, increase blood flow and improve circulation. A certified practitioner visits our center twice each month. The cost is $12 for each 10-minute appointment.
