The center offers many organized sports. Other options are also available through the Kettering Recreation Center.

Baggo
Bean bag with a twist.

Basketball
Play 5-on-5 or just shoot a few hoops. Basketball is held in the gymnasium on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 – 10:30 am.

Billiards
The billiards room is open to members during all CIL facility hours. Players at all skill levels are welcome. Monthly tournaments are held throughout the fall, winter and spring.

Bocce
Otherwise known as Italian Lawn Bowling, bocce is played on an indoor court on Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00 – 4:30 pm. Tournaments are held twice each year.

Bowling
Bowling is held at Poelking Lanes on Wilmington Pike on Wednesday mornings. This drop-in program begins at 9:30 a.m. For more information, call Poelking Lanes at (937) 299-5573.

Cycling
Bike riders meet at various locations along the Miami Valley bike paths each Thursday morning at 9:30 am for a two-hour ride during the spring, summer and fall months. Most members have lunch as a group at a local restaurant or at a picnic area where the ride ends.

Golf League at Rolandia
Tee times are reserved for each Tuesday morning at Rolandia beginning at 7:00 am. There is an annual league fee and weekly greens fees. Scrambles and special events are also offered.

Golf League at Community Golf Course
This new 9-hole league meets Thursday mornings at Community Golf Course. League fees are for the 21-week season, plus weekly greens fees.

Golf (Traveling Group)
Travel Golf plays local public golf courses several times per month within about a 45-minute radius of the Lathrem Center. It is a great way to try different courses and meet other golfers. Cost varies depending upon green fees in effect at each course. A schedule should be available at the front desk by early May of each year.

Golf Swing Practice
This free indoor program is conducted at CIL in March and April to help get your game in shape before nice weather arrives. A large driving net, mats, tees and special golf balls are provided.

Horseshoes
Horseshoes are played on outdoor courts each Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 am to Noon during the spring and summer months. This free program is open to all CIL members.

Senior Olympics (various sports)
Local Senior Olympics are at area locations during the spring and fall. Check the CIL in late April for an upcoming schedule. Open to those 50 and older.

Short Tennis
This short form of tennis is played in the gymnasium on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 – 10:30 am. The game is enjoyable for all skill levels. Shorter racquets and foam balls are used for this indoor game. A wonderful substitute for outdoor tennis, during foul weather.

Shuffleboard
Shuffleboard is held in the multi-purpose room Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8:00 – 11:00 am. All abilities are welcome. Beginners receive instruction from the experienced players.

Outdoor Shuffleboard
This intergenerational program meets on the outdoor courts each Tuesday evening, 6:00 pm – dusk and Saturday, 10:00 am – Noon, during the spring, summer and fall.

Softball League (65+)
An eight-team league is held May through September at area fields. There is a cost to join the league. New players are required to purchase a uniform.

Tennis
Tennis players meet at area courts Wednesdays from 8:00 – 10:00 am during spring, summer and fall months (weather permitting). Balls are provided and racquets available with prior arrangement. Please call the CIL at (937) 296-2480 for the current location. All abilities are welcome.

Volleyball
The volleyball program is Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 – 10:30 am and Saturday from 12:30 – 2:30 pm at the Kettering Recreation Complex gym.
