Preschool
Your preschooler and you can participate together or your little ones can venture on their own to an array of passive and active preschool programs. Programs will tap their imagination, develop motor skills, stimulate learning and social interaction, and more.

The Charles I. Lathrem Senior Center is a multi-purpose facility dedicated to providing quality programs and services to anyone who is 55 years of age or better. There’s something to suit every taste, including cards, travel, lunches, sports and fitness programs, a transportation program and much more.

Discovering Abilities

We are committed to an inclusive approach to recreation and leisure activities and encourage people with disabilities to consider all recreation classes throughout this brochure. We also offer special programs such as a summer day camp for youth who have developmental disabilities and dinners, dances and day-trips for adults.

Fitness & Wellness
There are many opportunities for the development of the body and mind through our facilities, programs and activities that promote fitness and wellness. Our qualified staff will help people of all ages in their efforts to attain a higher level of physical and mental well-being.

Community Health & Wellness
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is partnering with the Kettering Medical Center
Network to offer the most complete wellness service and program offering. Programs and services include health & wellness screenings, educational classes and exercise programs throughout the calendar year.

Aquatics
The Kettering Recreation Complex offers an 8-land, 25-yard, year-round pool for leisure swimming, lap swimming and fitness, as well as lessons. The outdoor Water Raves Water Park features a large, shallow-water pool, a water play area and sand play area for children, sand volleyball, concessions and much more.

Sports
Sports of all sorts are offered to every member of the family through the Kettering Recreation Complex. Our indoor track and multipurpose gym provide the perfect setting for league action, family fun, or youth and adult drop-ins.

Ice Arena
The Kettering Ice Arena offers 10 months of ice each year. Our current season continues through May 2006. We can accommodate the beginner and casual skater with our lesson programs and various open-skate sessions. Currently there are several organizations that provide hockey, figure skating and precision skating opportunities.

Cultural Arts
Rosewood Arts Centre offers the entire community and surrounding area a wide range of courses in the fine arts of music, theatre, dance, visual arts and crafts, and humanities.
