r.a.d.KIDS
The Kettering Police Department offers classes to kids to Resist Aggression Defensively. r.a.d.KIDS is a personal empowering, awareness and safety education program for children aged 5-7 and 8-10.

The program combines risk reduction education and physical defense training in hopes of preventing the abduction of children. It provides a consistent, structured, protective curriculum utilizing fun, interactive exercises creating a dynamic learning environment. General safety topics include, but are not limited to:
- School Safety
- Home Safety
- Out-And-About Safety
- Vehicle Safety
- Personal Safety
- Physical Defense

r.a.d.KIDS is the most comprehensive program of its kind. Kettering Police utilizes this basic, tailored format as part of our overall crime prevention and community education program.

Upon course completion, students are encouraged to attend refresher courses to practice.
