| The Kettering Police Department operates its own Audio Visual Unit and Photo Lab. Its main function is to provide photographic evidence processing for the police, courts and surrounding jurisdictions.
Other services include black and white film processing, videotape analysis, slide duping, photographic print coverage, consultation on photographic matters and training of evidence crews.
The audio visual unit also purchases all audio visual equipment and supplies for the entire city and recommends new innovations and equipment upgrades. Videotaping of various training and public relations videos are also done through the AV Unit in conjunction with the Miami Valley Communications Council.
