Crisis Negotiation Unit

The Crisis Negotiation Unit is comprised of five trained negotiators. Officers are selected for this position based on their ability to communicate with people in crisis. Once selected, they attend specialized training in negotiations and train together as a unit on a yearly basis. The primary function of the unit is to resolve the situation in a peaceful manner.

The CNU works closely with the Tactical team so that all options are considered to bring about a successful conclusion to any situation they encounter.
