Note: 

Effective June 1, 2007 there will be a 1% state fee added to the cost of Kettering and Oakwood residential structure, electric, plumbing and heating permits.  This fee does not apply to zoning permits.

Residential Permit Application used for:
Zoning approvals – sheds, fences, patios, sidewalks, driveways, pools, etc.  For information regarding driveway or sidewalk work and permits in public right-of-ways, please visit our Engineering Department's page or contact them by phone at 937-296-2436.
Accessory structures – sheds over 200 sf, detached garages, pools, etc.
Structures – new homes, additions, attached garages, interior alterations, demolition, etc.

Commercial Permit Application - Part A used for:
Zoning approvals – land disturbance, fences, trash enclosure, sidewalks, driveways, temporary uses, temporary outside displays, etc.  For information regarding driveway or sidewalk work and permits in public right-of-ways, please visit our Engineering Department's page or contact them by phone at 937-296-2436.
Structures – new structures/buildings, additions, interior alterations, accessory structures, decks, ramps, stairs, demolition, certificate of occupancy, etc.
Fire permits – sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, etc.

Commercial Permit Application - Part B
Required additional information – Use Group, Construction Type, Height & Area calcs, maximum occupant load, etc. Please refer to your architect for assistance.

Business Survey Form
Required additional information for all new businesses or building tenants.

There is a plan review fee required for structural permits and is paid when you submit the application and drawings.  For residential projects the plan review fee is $75.00, for commercial projects $200.00.
