The City of Kettering is working to update its parks. The proposed park designs are conceptual in design and we hope that you provide us with your comments to help guide us to a final design.
The Parks Department focused on four specific goals with the new park designs:
- Improve access through all parks to the neighborhoods via increased walking/biking paths.
- Enhanced passive areas in the parks through consolidation of sports features and improved picnic/shelter areas.
- Upgrade sports and playground features in the park for improved access and visibility.
- Increase road and parking access for those parks with current access through the neighborhoods.
The City of Kettering currently is not budgeted for any of the park improvements; however, as money becomes available, we will begin the process of redeveloping the parks, playgrounds and sports areas.
