On or before February 28th of each year, each employer or other payer shall file an Annual Withholding Reconciliation (Form KW-3) including all corresponding Form(s) W-2.

Note: The City of Kettering requires employers filing 250 or more W-2's with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to also file their City of Kettering Annual Withholding Reconciliation electronically according to the specifications below. For tax year 2011, filing of the wage information (W-2's) on electronic media or through the Webfile Program as specified below will constitute compliance with this electronic filing requirement. The Form KW-3 itself (not W-2's) may be filed on paper and must accompany the electronic media.

The City of Kettering now offers the following options to efficiently file your Kettering W-2 records and 2011 Annual Withholding Reconciliation:

In addition to the records required for SSA reporting, the City of Kettering also requires "RS" records. A separate "RS" record is required for each city, to include local taxable wages, tax withheld and taxing entity code.

Employers who are not required to file their City of Kettering W-2 records electronically may submit their wage information and Annual Withholding Reconciliation in paper format or choose to file electronically according to the specifications outlined above.
