Welcome to the Human Resources Department
The City of Kettering Human Resource Department is responsible for providing a centralized program of personnel administration for the City, including:
recruitment and selection
classification and compensation
employee benefits
 
organizational development
training
employee safety
collective bargaining
employee relations
employee wellness
The Human Resource Department administers Civil Service, implementing the rules and regulations of the Civil Service Commission.

The City's workforce consists of about 400 regular full-time employees, 125 regular part-time employees, over 400 seasonal employees and more than 100 volunteer firefighters.  The employees of the City of Kettering contribute to the quality of life enjoyed by our City's 59,500 residents by providing a wide range of public services.
