Borden Dairy Redevelopment
The Borden Dairy property sat vacant for over ten years and had a substantial blighting influence on the surrounding neighborhood. The property represented a loss of income tax revenue as well as a loss of property tax revenue.

The City decided to purchase the property from the private owner and proceeded to demolish all of the existing structures. After demolition was complete the City had more than ten acres of land for redevelopment.

The City actively marketed the land and the site was built out in three years. The redeveloped land is now home to two successful Kettering businesses, which employ over 75 employees.
