Open Studio
Open studio sessions are designed to allow artists and craft persons the opportunity to work on their own projects in a creative environment with equipment perhaps not available to them at home. The studios are open for independent work Monday through Saturday. Hours are determined by class schedules.

All participants and observers must pay open studio fees to stay longer than 15 minutes. Children under 5 years old are not permitted in open studio; those under 16 years must be supervised by a parent or instructor. All studio patrons, including currently enrolled students, should sign in and pay fees at the Rosewood office. Supplies are not included in open studio fees.

Open Studio Fees:
Pottery - Sculpture - Painting - Glass
Drop-in Use (pay per visit) $4 resident; $8 non-resident
Discount Card (10-visit pass) $30 resident; $60 non-resident


Pottery Studio
Clay fee of $17 includes 25 pounds of clay, firing and glazing costs. Reclaimed clay may be purchased for $11 and includes 25 pounds of clay, firing and glazes. The studio is designed as a community facility and not designed for production work. Attendance at a free orientation class is required before studio use.

Tuesdays, 6:00 - 6:30 pm (call for an appointment)


Glass Studio
The glass studio allows independent work in glass beadmaking, glass forming through fusing and slumping methods, enameling and copper foil and leaded stained glass work. A $9 firing fee per three-hour kiln firing, along with the open studio fee, is required for glass slumping or fusing. Kiln scheduling and registration are required before use. Stained glass equipment is available for open studio use. Glass beadmaking equipment requires prior beadmaking class enrollment. Glass not supplied.


Darkroom
Community drop-in darkroom use is available at Rosewood Arts Centre. The black and white darkroom facility has the capability of 12 enlargers, large-format development with vacuum easel, film development and color photography development. Fees for the darkroom include all chemicals. Paper is not supplied. Participants must be at least 16 years old, demonstrate previous experience in black and white darkroom processing and attend a darkroom orientation session. Orientation session is scheduled on Thursdays from 6 to 6:30pm.  Registration must be made from the free orientation in the Rosewood office. Call for an appointment. (937) 296-0294

$35 resident; $70 non-resident

Locker Rental
Lockers are available for use on a monthly rental basis. A discount will be given when paying for a six-month period.

One-month Rental:
$10 resident; $12 non-resident

Six-month Rental:
$40 resident; $50 non-resident


Private Individual Artist Studios
Private studio space is available for working artists needing a space to develop their work. The 10' x 10' spaces are clean, well-lit, heated studios located in the Art Center. Artists will have 24-hour access to their studios. Studio fees are paid monthly for a term of one year.

Monthly Rental Fees:
$70 resident; $110 non-resident
