Art on the Commons

Art on the Commons is a juried display and sale of fine arts and fine crafts located in Lincoln Park Civic Commons in Kettering, Ohio. Art on the Commons includes a large selection of artists from Ohio and surrounding states displaying work in the outdoor space of reflecting pools and bricked walkways. Food concessions and restroom facilities are conveniently located for the exhibitors and visitors. Scheduled musical entertainment throughout the day enhances the festive atmosphere.

Art on the Commons has been awarded recognition from Sunshine Artist Magazine as one of the top U.S. festivals. The Dayton-based Business Weekly publication has also listed Art on the Commons as one of the top regional festivals, measured through attendance.


Kettering, Ohio, is located in the greater Dayton and Montgomery County area with a resident population of more than 573,000. Lincoln Park is centrally located within Kettering in a beautiful residential area with easy access to main roadways and interstate highways. No admission fee is charged for visitor entrance. Attendance at the festival is estimated at 30,000.

Artists submitting slides for jurying into the show are located throughout the United States and Canada. Works will be considered if they are of an original nature and not from pre-fabricated objects or parts and handicraft or kit items. Examples of accepted categories are:

Admission is free and entertainment is scheduled all day.
