| Administrative Support is responsible for directing services regarding Records Management, Secretarial Support, Telephone Service, Cell Phone Service, Pager Service, Mail, Front Desk Reception and Messenger Service as well as Printing and Copying. The Records Management program provides for records retention schedules, microfilming, maintaining a records center, and reviewing the City's filing systems. Administrative Support operates with administrative staff (one Administrative Specialist and two Corresponding Secretaries), one Records Clerk, one Printer, two Print Shop Clerks, two part-time Receptionists and one Administrative Support Manager.
Records Management
Provide efficient filing and retrieval of necessary records that comply with the Ohio Historical Society’s regulations using current and approved technology. Serve as official Archivist and Records Secretary for City of Kettering Records Commission.
Word Processing/Desktop Publishing
To provide Word Processing and Desktop Publishing service to the City in a timely and efficient manner. This service includes the creation and development of City publications, flyers and brochures. Operators also utilize hardware/software for scanning/photo-refinishing for print and non-print documents, as well as using software in the creation of images/logos.
Telecommunications Services
To provide and support an effective communication system to serve both internal and external requirements. This service includes cell phones, pagers, modems desktop telephones, voice mail, wireless technology and fax machines.
Mail and Messenger Service
To provide efficient, cost-effective mail and messenger service for the City.
Printing and Copying
The Print Shop provides printing services to City departments. Minutes, reports and forms are produced daily for use in department operations. Letters, flyers and brochures are printed to convey information on current events to the public. The Print Shop also serves as a Shipping and Receiving location for deliveries for the city.
