This year’s Make a Difference Day on October 24, 2015 was a huge success! This year we had almost 230 volunteers who helped kick start our 2015 Cities of Service initiative by making trauma dolls for local hospitals and cleaning up the Berwin Park Neighbohood by trimming bushes, raking leaves, and removing yard debris. Overall we removed 10.5 tons of brush, honeysuckle, and leaves from 10 lots and residences throughout the neighborhood! We would like to personally thank all of our volunteer groups and individuals that helped make this day a complete success!
We revisited the Berwin Park neighborhood again in May, and our volunteers along with Red Cross and Little Miami Watershed Network volunteers, made it a huge success! Together we helped residents with outdoor maintenance and cleaning, hauled away debris, installed free smoke detectors and put medallions on storm drains to remind people to protect our watershed. Even though it was a cold, rainy day, we had 25 wonderful volunteers come out of all ages. Thank you all so much for your hard work!
