code red

Did you know that, in addition to our City of Kettering, Ohio – Government Facebook page and @Kettering_OH Twitter posts, the City of Kettering uses a system called Code Red to notify our residents and those who work in Kettering of emergency incidents and critical community alerts?  Examples include: construction updates, service notifications, public safety alerts, boil water notices, and missing person reports.

To opt-in to receive official City of Kettering public safety and city service related emergency notifications at home, on your cell phone, by text and/or by email, including TDD/TTY requirements please take a moment to enroll in our emergency database using the link provided below.  The secure, customized Community Notification Enrollment (CNE) page allows residents and businesses to add or update their contact information at any time to ensure they will be included when a Code Red alert message is sent.

When you enroll in Code Red, you may opt to receive alerts on your home or cell phone, by email and by text. Please note that because of the emergency nature of some alerts, notices may be received at all hours. Should you wish, you can easily decide later to opt out from receiving future alerts. Please be aware that if you opt out, you will not receive any future notifications including communication about interruptions in service or emergency alerts that are relevant to you.

Click here to opt-out of receiving all future official City of Kettering public safety and city service related emergency notifications.  Please note that removal may take 7-10 business days to take effect.
